The main part of the resistive touch screen is a resistive film screen that fits very well with the surface of the display. This is a multi-layer composite film, which uses a layer of glass or hard plastic flat plate as the base layer, the surface diagram has a transparent oxide metal (ITO indium oxide, transparent conductive resistance) conductive layer, covered with an outer surface hardened, smooth and anti-scratch plastic layer, its inner surface is also coated with an ITO coating, and there are many fine (less than 1/1000 inch) transparent isolation points between them to separate the two conductive layers of insulation. When the finger touches the screen, the two conductive layers have contact at the touch point, and the controller detects this contact and calculates the position of (X, Y), and then operates according to the way of simulating a mouse. This is the most basic principle of resistive technology touch screens.
