The current state of industrial touch displays

Touch interface systems that provide a sense of touch rely on actuators to produce a tactile feel. Advances in actuator and control technology have enabled actuators to support a wide range of touch feedback on touch panels and touch screens from very small to large, with a product range ranging from mobile phones to widescreen touch monitors. In addition, the processor load required to support haptic systems is quite small, touch input technology is in fact very common, and electromechanical solutions are readily available.
